My own worst enemy [Trijam 272 Bidirectional]
An entry to trijam 272.
As you control both hero and enemies, the idea is to get to the goal square without the enemy killing you. The enemy will always move opposite of you(my interpretation of bidirectional), forcing you to carefully plan your route and way forward.
Play through the tutorial levels to learn the basics, then off you go. There aren’t many levels though. Didn’t have time to produce more. I wanted to implement more mechanics as well. Like trapdoors and certain checkpoints within levels.
This is the first game jam I participate in, and also the first game I build for someone to try out. I had some struggles with the UI scaling and some other proportions in the game. I did not have time to get in audio or art as I stopped at the 3 hour mark. The controls are a bit floaty as they didn't get that much love. I also noticed after submitting that I have a duplicate level, and there is some scaling in the levels that are off, possibly making it more difficult to play dependent on where and how you play.
